I believe existing infra and easier access for para athletes around the world was the main reason for New Delhi to get the nod. I was expecting Bengaluru, Bhubaneswar or Ahmedabad which are far cleaner than Delhi.

Half the para-alpine world championships in Maribor have already been cancelled due to a lack of snow and a course that simply isn't wide enough for downhills or super-G's. Athletes are understandably beyond mad, because this was so predictable when choosing a venue with a questionable level of 'snow certainty'.

LA 28 Sports Programme has been announced. Para Climbing has been added. Few men's events in athletics replaced by new women's events.

It wasn't posted on here earlier, but there were some significant changes to the track cycling programme as well. C class individual pursuits have been dropped in favor of scratch/elimination events, while the B time trial was dropped in favor of the sprint.

Should be good: tandem sprinting is a sight to see.

I like the diversity of the events in the new program. Hopefully some good races to come.

The Netherlands has decided to cancel its hosting of the 2026 European Paralympic Swimming Championships due to the participation of Russian and Belarusian athletes under their own flags, ad.nl reported on February 25.

The Dutch Swimming Federation (KNZB) made this decision after consultations with government ministries, including the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport, which confirmed the withdrawal.
