Oh, right, there is Hirscher  But I think that's unlikely as well, given his injury that kept him out of almost the entire season and his results before that which were nowhere near what he would need to qualify....I highly doubt it. It'd be cool, but I doubt it.

We have 82+1 countries qualified atm.

 

These ones should be safe to joining them:

- Has an athlete in qualification position in Freestyle skiing (halfpipe), but needs to meet the minimum FIS points total

 - Should easily qualify in biathlon 

 - Appears they have an athlete in qualification position in alpine skiing, but not on the FIS' list. Perhaps a citizenship issue, which in theory should be fixed before the games

- Should qualify in alpine skiing 

 

These countries are just outside qualification position and need better results to qualify
 - Alpine skiing

- Alpine skiing ( and could qualify in Bobsleigh as well)

- Alpine skiing 

- Skeleton 

 - Skeleton 

- Women's monobob - with the field size at worlds really low, its possible one of their athletes sneaks in.

 - Their monobob athlete from Beijing 2022 qualification cycle will try again.

 - 14 alpine skiing bios recently added to the FIS website for Guinea Bissau in alpine skiing, who knows their quality

- Have an alpine skier from Switzerland? trying to qualify but has 0 results so far

 

Countries which competed in Beijing but won't in Milan-Cortina

 - athlete has retired.

What`s going on? If they will permitten to start someone like Bolshunov, it will be bad... He went to marches with Putin in 2022, just like Rylov.

I would add: not only Bolshunov should stay home. Almost all russian A team used occupied Crimea as their training camp.

A few years ago, I read that Berlusconi visited Putin in Crimea- but in that time he no longer held any office in Italy. In theory, should he be banned from entering Ukraine?

 

Another thing: what`s with testing anti-doping athletes from Russia after 2022? After all, no WADA inspector will be going to Crimea now, so they can essentially feel unpunished there and dope as much as they want.

Last year, I read that Ustjugov wanted to train with the Italian NT and Markus Cramer- his former coach, but it didn't happen. Cramer only consulted with him online, but this year, Patricia Eiduka from Latvia joined to the Italian NT training program.
