It has not remained unnoticed that one person is conspicously missing in all the orange festivities. Schulting was in the stadium yesterday as reserve for the relay, but according to the NOS left the stadium immediately after that race. The post race interview made clear that the team would prefer her not to race in the final. -
Both Homan and Pätz potential violations looks very much like mistakes and not even that they would touch the granit, more that they might have touched the plate of the handle. And it happens in a natural movement without making any difference. If they touched the granit of course it should be removed just like burning the rock with the broom but as Said before, that is not cheating. -

There is the smallest of chances for Taiwan to win a medal in speed skating tomorrow. Chen Ying-chu was ranked 12th in the world this year in the 500m and won a silver medal at one of the world cup stops. It's unlikely she'll medal but not impossible. -

Man I kind of feel bad because the average score for this poll is going to be significantly lower than the Day 4 poll thanks to all the Canadian votes and that doesn't at all reflect the Games as a whole. Outside of the Canadian results, I've actually a enjoyed a good amount of the events. -

yea it's hard to rate it any higher than 3 for Canada rn I do wonder what happens next and where the country goes from here though, assuming nothing gets better -
teams seem to be getting caught in the touching rocks controversy, first Kennedy, now Homan, but we're not the only ones doing it actually.... having been made aware of it and watching the replay back Paetz on her last against Canada did it too. (I know Kennedy's was far more obvious, and he was touching the granite so it isn't the same thing but still, Homan also having been accused for cheating like I've seen on many articles/social media posts when she barely grazed it...) It seems to be way more common than people realize -
