Completely agree. One of the greatest football stadiums in the World and with an iconic look. Italians are out of their mind.

It's unbelievable. They do maintenance on, like, nothing at all, and then the one thing they should actually keep in place instead of renew, they destroy

Bro, the hype in Brazil is kinda unexpectable.

even my mom is talking about it!!!

maybe Lucas dating a famous actriss can help, but TV coverage in the main TV channel is also awesome

I don't know if this was mentioned before, but the song that was played during the 1960s portion of the Traveling Through Time in the OC was this:

Adriano Celentano wanted to prove that anything that sounded English would do well on the Italian charts. He was proven right when this song became incredibly popular. We studied this song when I studied for my Masters in Applied Linguistics. Honestly, it's a jam regardless of nonsensical language. *There's actually a way better video in black and white with dancers that's superior to this, but I can't find it right now.

Edit:

Here is the better video, but it starts at 2:14. Absolute jam.

Just for the love of everything that is sports, let's never, ever do this "opening ceremony in multiple places" thing again, please. That absolutely didn't work, they were cutting away all the time so everyone got barely shown. Plus, you're taking us from inside the massive stadium with 80.000 people or so back and forth to 3 people walking in front of the local town hall of a small village with some locals attending while walking their dogs before going to sleep, so to say. Just don't do that again please.

There was a plus side though. Likely a record of athletes attended the ceremony (130 french athletes over 162 pe). As we are not going back to more centralized winter games anytime soon, people will need to figure out smarter way of doing things the next times. You can't just have one hour and half of stargate camera cuts.

Outside of bobsleigh & luge they might not win a single gold?

Pfeifer has a very high chance of Gold in Women's skeleton, won the test event in November on the Olympic track and finished 2nd in the overall World Cup standings.

Crowd did their job with them and Israel.

Some fake fans did, indeed. Whatever one's opinion on the country, just don't cheer if you don't like it, don't be pathetic and boo the athletes.

French Alps is likely to be just as spread around? :(

The ceremony was nicely done. I felt the Parade of Nations was way too long, but nonetheless thats the most important part imo.

I will say the departure from the stadium was a complete cluster fuck. I have never seen a worse transportation situation at a sporting event and it cost well over $200 to just get back to my hotel.
