Winter Olympic Games Milano Cortina 2026 Ceremonies

The ceremony was nicely done. I felt the Parade of Nations was way too long, but nonetheless thats the most important part imo.

I will say the departure from the stadium was a complete cluster fuck. I have never seen a worse transportation situation at a sporting event and it cost well over $200 to just get back to my hotel.

That’s ALWAYS the same shit for San Siro…

A lot of the countries got loud ovations including Canada, Brazil, Jamaica (one of the loudest), France, Germany, UK, Ukraine, Spain, USA and ofc Italy.

Only one country was audibly booed, you can probably guess who and when the Vance was shown for 2 seconds boos rained down.

Unfortunately those lessons were not learned.

They will never learn; the only thing you can do at San Siro is run just before the event ends.

I think it's even worse...

I know :NED Heerenveen is sadly likely to be part of it, but I suppose you mean also without that it's going to be spread around crazily...

Wait what? In Italy they’re sure about speed skating events in Turin

That would be an odd choice...both are out of the host country, if you're going for that anyway than better just choose the most known and 'classic' venue I'd say (so either Heerenveen or Hamar, but going to Norway would be even worse in terms of distance of course).

Or better, Collalbo, but that's what they should have done for this year (without the roof, obviously, don't destroy a track like that by building a roof).

Yes, even leaving aside speed skating. Everybody need to cheer for Loubineaud, maybe him getting a medal will help us avoid it :d

    • Not in modern times (believe it has happened back in the 19th century). The Social Democrats were rather close in the mid-30s, but generally it's been the Social Democrats as the largest getting challenged by either Venstre (the old, liberal party) or the Conservatives (though their latest peak was in the 80s). Keep in mind that most Danish governments have been minority governments. The latest government (well, it's still the government until the new one is formed) was the first one since the early 90s and only the 5th since the Second World War.
