  • 1 month later...

Time to start doing some bumping - we have several new season restarts this weekend.  First up, chronologically will be skeleton on Friday Morning.  It's at the new ir restored track at Cortina, where there will be no spectators because there is still painting, hammering, drilling and swearing in Italian to be done before everything is ready.

Previews for skeleton and bob here.

And will be live on YT as usual.

Am I just missing something, or don't they have the actual schedule in the preview PDF anymore?

It's already weird one always needed to go find the news article and then open the PDF to get the full schedule, but now that is gone too?

https://www.ibsf.org/fileadmin/user_upload/News/imported/Images/2025-2026_Winter_Season/1_IBSF_World_Cup_Cortina/IBSF_Press_Release_Preview_World_Cup_Bob_Skeleton_25-26_1_Cortina.pdf

Anyone has a clue where one can find the full schedule? And to be clear, this is not a full schedule, this only says when run 1 of each event starts. Surely somewhere there is an official full schedule that says when each run starts, like there has been for years?

Check YT is the quickest way, it shows you when each event starts in your timezone.   This shows you the start time in the local timezone and in fact there is a local timezone option, but there are a lot of regional races also.

Not a great start for :GER so far....they get plenty good results but don't dominate as they do in the other slide sports.

    • Shades of 1998 with  and  in the same group but this time it's really a terrible draw for the Thistles. I recall Brazil and Scotland played in the same group in 1974 and 1990 too so that's quite a high probabiliy rate.

    • I think I can live with the draw , not a bad group at all. just a week ago our mafia coach said his dream group is Belgium, Egypt and Haiti, he almost got that !   but it's really hard for me (and so many others) to cheer for this team, A mafia boss coach, disgusting group of players. I never had this feeling about any NT in any sport before but still the national team is the national team. you have to like it  coaches and players come and go, the team is what matters.   if the team makes it to the competition, I'm sure there will be lots of Iranians in the stadium despite the orange's ban, that will never be a problem.
    • Belgium is the luckiest in this story
    • One of the worst possible draw for us. Group really easy but having to face  or  in the Round of 32 is devastating.
