Moioli pulled two of the worst starts of all time back to back, she could have challenged for gold

I think she held back on purpose and only made her move later on. Worked in SF but in final it was too much to ask.

She still won a bronze, and with how deep the field was a medal wasn't a sure bet, there's a lot to be happy about :d

As a fellow Brit I sympathise with your frustration, but you don’t need to mention funding every time someone doesn’t match expectations (which I appreciate has been more frequent than we’d like of late!)

Surely if they’re not performing they need more funding not less? Let’s do the postmortem after the Games and enjoy watching while we have them. And I’m not sure Team GB’s performance/funding is of interest to everyone else following the sport.

That was what they were told after Bejing - unfortunately they won’t be given a third chance. .

Moioli handicaped herself twice on the start and it cost her the win most likely.

she just can't keep up anymore with all the 20-year youngsters on the athletic side of the game

she only saves herself with experience nowadays

and I'm pretty sure that the other day's accident cost her something, even if she'll never use that as an excuse
