It did start well though. For 5 minutes or so and then it went downhill very fast. It's going to be a long tournament for us...

Yeah, but hey, every game is different and each game start from 0-0 so nothing is over before it is over, especially in hockey.

History is full of incredible turnovers in this beautiful sport. Once we won a bronze medal at the WJCh while we lost the first match 0-8. So, head´s up and continue :)

The name of the country Czechia in Portuguese here is very similar to the name for the female reproductive organ.

The people in the comments of this game are very childish. :lol:

    • Men´s Division II Group A World Championship schedulled in Al-Ain this year has been cancelled   So the ranking will be frozen and no team will be promoted to I B / Relegated this year from I B and promoted from II B / Relegated to II B   https://www.iihf.com/en/news/72580/2026_iihf_wmiia_championship_cancelled   The 2026 IIHF World Championship Division II Group A (WMIIA), originally scheduled to take place in the United Arab Emirates, has been cancelled following a decision by the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF).   As a result, promotion and relegation for the WMIIA Championship will be frozen for the 2026 season. • How wonderful!   I met the national rowing (and beach rowing) coach of EST/LTU/LAT on the way to ice hockey one day, who's Canadian by the way. I also flew home on the same flight as JC Schoonmaker's mom and friends, so we chatted for a bit.
    • Yea I only used transit besides this Uber / bus to the airport and back. All the venues were at the end of the line, so it allowed you to speak with other fans/volunteers etc. I even met Corrine Stoddard's mom after the first session of short track on the way back, and told her to remember our conversation if she won a medal later in the Olympics. We know how that ended up...
    • I used public transit the entire time I was in Milan.   My first day was a doozy, because I had to two flights to reach Malpensa, and then the train into town was delayed, and then I got confused a station and boarded a tram instead of the metro, proceeded to travel in the wrong direction, got off, walked back to the station, found the metro, got off a station early, walked around a kilometer to my hotel, and checked in.   My colleagues mostly took cabs upon arrival, but I deduced to take the frugal approach. That said, I was a true public transit professional by the time I left Milan.   I actually enjoyed my rides to and from venues, because I'd just chat up fans and volunteers from different countries. It helped me learn more about the city too.
    • It's the olympics, sleep is for the weak!    The first day i got there i was on a 12 hour flight from l.a to rome (flight that left mid day), lay over, another flight to milan, uber to hotel, then right away to speed skating (1500m men), then after uber to hockey venue for women's gold final, then after the celebrations uber to the hotel, i ended up being awake about 36 hours that day, the next morning i thought to go sightseeing in the center of milan, but ended up sleeping until like 2pm..... and had speed skating/short track that night
    • I tried to get onto the metro multiple times and gave up    I had just arrived the day of from Bangkok (12 hr flight) and was just exhausted and wanted to sleep
