Frist podium ever for a Thai athlete :hyper::jawdrop:

The Dutch pair isn't sure they'll continue their career, they have at least made the choice to sit out 2025.

I've always wondered why a team would do the technical and not free. Not enough time to train for two performances?

The real problem is doing so many events in the space of only three days. It is not easy to complete 3 routines of the team competition and 2 of the duo (when it goes well, some people have to do the 2 of the individual competition as well). It is a gruelling programme and, especially away from the Olympic years, some nations decide to prepare only certain specialities

Makes sense. Doing up to seven performances over 4 days would be a lot.

European Aquatics has reinstated an apnea time limit regulation for all free hybrids, to be implemented during the European Aquatics junior artistic swimming events from May on. A basemark will be applied when a free hybrid exceeds an apnea time of 25 seconds

World Champions Time :cheer:

The men's artistic swimming competition is truly becoming more internationalized than any other discipline such as duo or team. The challenge will be the usual between :ESP and :CHN, but the Latin triptych :MEX :COL and :CHI, as well as :KAZ, can have their say for the podium.

    • It's all hogwash especially in the short attention span generation. Like nobody cares about Free Tibet anymore either. Free Palestine will last a lot longer due to Saudi Arabia becoming a sponsorship force in sports.   Israel is too weak in soccer to qualify from UEFA zone. The only time they qualified was from the Asian zone and they only beat Australia & New Zealand who were complete nobodies in the 1960s. No such luck in the 60 years since.
    • Oh I assure you FIFA dodger a bullet with Israel not qualifying…   But ya that’s kind of the thing, shut up and dribble is a mantra anti LGBT people have used often. I don’t think it’s hypocritical to remind them of their position
    • Ah, yes but that's not how pro athletes are taught in North America these days? Shut up & dribble is xenophobic, racist or whatever? The hypocrisy of some of these policies were exposed during 2022 World Cup already where the Saudis played it smart and waved their own "Free Palestine' slogans. Forget LGBT rights for a moment, how many 'Free Palestine' flags will be waved in 2026? Or will those be confiscated by default? Somehow I feel this won't be met with similar backlash when China clamped down on 'Free Tibet' in 2008 OG. Saudi Arabia is more important to global markets than Iran & Egypt
    • Wisła Płock just assumed 1st position after five consecutive draws. Must be first time ever a team on a five match winless streak actually moves up to league top.
