If it's the 4x100m, alright, but you mentioned not being able to count on a team in an event they have won (way) more often than not in recent decades and only lost a few consecutive times because the gold got stripped due to doping of one member

Think the Stat is that in the whole of the 20th Century the US 4x400m only lost 3 times.
