How strong is the field with the Olympics having just ended?

Aha, was wondering why it was only three days......like the rowing last weekend, it is non-Olympic events only.  Plus with the Paralympics being next week, those are excluded as well.

Some Olympic champions will be present, although arguably not the biggest names of all.

I noticed Martin Fuksa in today's results, so at least one big name is there :d

Also, someone just got disqualified in one of the women's heats, but since no rule is mentioned as one sees in athletics or biathlon or something: why?

Finals are about to start :)

First world champs I'm ever watching and it's with non-Olympic events and missing countries. Anyhow, lots of these events look like they make more sense than some on the Olympic program anyway :p

    • I still shocks, that a country of 4-5 million inhabitants? can be a powerhouse in almost every winter sport + handball, football (most recently with Haaland) and athletics: Ingebrigtsen, Warholm, etc. With such a small population, they can't be missing out on any major talent, surely? This must be the best training system in the world...
    • FIFA announced the stadium and time for each match   for  Iran, it will be 2 matches in LA (and not just 1) and 1 in Seattle and luckily we avoided playing in Canada. absolutely nothing against the country, but there are just too many douchebag Iranian groups in Vancouver trying to mix everything with their stupid politics. it's better to stay away from them.   that can happen in US too but less likely. playing in LA is more like playing at home, at least I hope so. 2022 Qatar was a disaster from our point of view, hopefully this one remains only about football.
