 defeat  3-0, +16.5 world ranking points and through to the round of 16! Our blocking this game, very, very, good. 10 in three sets, just insane !! 

 

Heslinga really took over late in that set when it looked like we were to blow a 21-16 lead 

 

McCarthy with two solo blocks, that second one with the “no, no, no” finger signals reminded me of Jimerson.

I'm a bit of nerwous about today's match against Belgium – they haven't played in the VNL this year, but they already won 3-0 against Ukraine. If we lose, we will at 99% finish second in the group and face France in the Round of 16. Even failing to qualify will be a real possibility, becouse Ukraine is a very dangerous team. Unfortunately, I don't have as much confidence in de Giorgi as I do in Velasco – I was also very nervous with the women's team, but I always had in my mind that the guru was on our bench and knew what he was doing. I don't have that feeling with the men's team.
