Notable results (other than the times mentioned in this thread by others):

  • Unkown skater :BLR Hanna Damaratskaya skated 37,65 in the women's 500m in :RUS Kolomna, the 2nd time of the season so far.
  • :KAZ Yevgeniy Koshkin finished in  34,56 in the men's 500m in :GER Inzell, the 3rd time of the season so far.
  • :NED Sanne in 't Hof skated a 6.54,97 in the women's 5.000m in :NED Heerenveen, more than 10 seconds faster than the number 2 time of the season.

Meanwhile at the Dutch World Cup qualifiers, we can kind of see that Ghiotto's unofficial WR on the 10k might not survive for very long :d 

 

Lots of especially younger guys are destroying their PB's (both on 5k and 10k) with the 'new' thing of skating the entire race with both arms on the back, including in the turns. I assume Ghiotto used that as well, as it's said to be 0.3 to 0.4 seconds of advantage per lap, which is incredible. 

 

Average times in especially the longer distances are going to drop so much :d
