Lucy Hall starts off with a 25, one of only six women to do so. Still very early days obviously.

Over the five rounds I think really you can only afford potentially a max 4 misses to get into the top 6, so it’s high pressure. Even that may be 1 too many. Good start for Lucy

Nathan Hales scores a perfect 25 in round 4 to keep himself firmly in the hunt for the final.  One round left and there's a 7 way tie for 6 places.

Another 25 from Hales would guarantee him at least a shoot off for the final.

Depending on how the others shoot, a 24 might be okay but obviously not guaranteed. 23 or below almost certainly knocks him out.

Women's DOUBLE make the final and looked strong, and i would probably put them as a solid shot at a bronze now, having them as nothing before the games, those romanian's and their damned sprint though!

Great row by the women’s double sculls to get into the final! Just edged out by Romania in a sprint to the line.

a medal isn’t impossible; quite an open event

When you're one of six I'd like to think there's a very decent chance

As now we come across the world
To share these Games of old
Let all the flags of every land
In brotherhood unfold

    • Honestly, I think you guys have a much better chance of success here than we do. It's already difficult to maintain this sport, and with this ridiculous format this year, things have gotten even worse. Years and years participating in the elite and we haven't been able to evolve; it was just a waste.

    • Another weak result for our athletics team, which is typical; without Caio or Alisson, our chances of a medal in any high-level tournament are almost zero.   However, Juliana's result in the women's pole vault was a great 7th place. She is improving rapidly and still has a lot of room for growth.
