What a show again!!!    20 medals are more than anyone could have expected.

• Tamberi 3rd gold in HJ  at Euro Champs, and CR
• Battocletti double gold 5000/10000., first Italian women with two gold in one EAA, first women to win 10000 and NR destroyed after 24 years
• Sibilio silver in 400hs and NR broken after 23 years

 

and not only medals in this incredible edition but also another NR broken:

• Dester NR in decathlon

 

and...... First place in medal table

Italian open athletic championship with some foreign athletes 😉. Congrats, it was out of this world (well, besides the system😉). We are on a strong downride.

It has been a good comp.   Started off a bit slow but all the Italian success created a lot of atmosphere.  Good appetizer for the rest of the summer.
