Makedonas 1,743 Posted May 18 #11 Share Posted May 18 Gionis played really well from what I've seen so far, even if he had to win his last match 4-3, he had four 4-0 wins and one 4-1 win until then, so I hope he will still be fresh for tomorrow's very important quota match against the Chinese. I don't think he will take it to be honest but he should be one of the favourites to get one of the remaining 3 quotas as his level here is very high so far... Cinnamon Bun 413 Posted May 18 #15 Share Posted May 18 Brilliant from Hursey, after having a disappointing qualifying campaign in the team and mixed doubles at least matching our total from Tokyo would definitely make up for it. Only 1 more to go now from either Ho or Drinkhall. avlar
Makedonas 1,743 Posted May 18 #16 Share Posted May 18 Gionis qualified for his 6th Olympics! He is now tied with a few other athletes for the most Olympic appearances by a Greek, though if Psarra qualifies in archery she will make her 7th appearance and hold the record by herself.
