Oh yes, home advantage is one of the biggest factors in this sport, anyway, one still have to do it by himself on the race on the day and + facing such incredible pressure from the crowd as it was here is not easy at all. So big hat off to Gestin, he was just the best here by miles. and fully deserved this crown

 

Obviously happy for Matej, he would again have faced stupid hate back home from casual fans if he would have missed medal in this like in Tokyo. So fine from this side, but I must say I am really sad for Bourhis, that was one huge race from him and it would have been an amazing historic moment for Senegal. Really sad for him, still think this 50 seconds penalty was too harsh
