She’s racing in the European championships, not the Olympic qualifiers. It’s a separate event (same place, same weekend)

Oh, I did not even notice these events are separated. Anyways, thanks.

:GBR  not yet qualified in single sculls both men and women and yet not sending a crew to this qualifier?

This qualifier is limited to nations who had only qualified 1 boat at the World Champs last year so GB (and most of the main European nations) aren't eligible to compete and will look to get further boats qualified at the last chance regatta next month.

Poland can qualify a maximum of 2 crews, and only if they both win the event. If 3 win their event, they’ll have to choose two.

If only one crew wins, but multiple finish in qualifying position (or none win, but finish in qualifying positions), Poland can choose only one quota

Are you sure about this?

Requirement to win 2 races to get 2 quotas was in force before Tokio.

But I do not see it in the current version of the rules for Paris.

Or may be I have missed something?

Same clause is in force for Paris - bottom of page 5 of qualification document:

But I do not see requirement to win the final races here to get 2 quotas.

For Tokio if NOC had no quotas before the Continental qualifier it could win 2 quotas only with 2 first places at the Continental qualifier/.

It’s the same. Poland already has a boat qualified.

so the paragraph at the bottom of page applies. They can qualify one boat “except in the case where two or more place first” in the regional qualifiers

Sorry - I misunderstood what you were asking.

The wording of the qualification process has changed since Tokyo. For Tokyo, the general rule for qualifying via continental qualifier was an NOC could only qualify 1 boat with the exception of NOCs who had not qualified any boats at the previous world champs who could qualify 2 boats if they both won their events:

For Paris, the situation is different - NOCs who did not qualify any boats at last year's world champs could qualify 2 boats at the continental qualifier and it did not matter where they finished so for example, Iran qualified in both the women's single sculls and women's lightweight double sculls at the Asian qualifier by finishing 3rd and 2nd respectively.

For NOCs that qualified 1 boat at the World Champs, then the only way they can qualify 2 further boats at the continental qualifier is by having both of the boats finishing 1st.

Thank you. That`s good news for us. Potentially ))

    • Yeah. It was pretty bad that they cancel the contract with the original creative director after 7 months of work. I feel like politics, in this particular context of the changing of prime minister and the cabinet, may had caused changes in organizational decisions regarding the Sea Games including the direction of the opening ceremony.
    • That's what I figured.  Wouldn't be a proper lead up to an Olympics without some media-fueled fearmongering.
