I don't know if you saw the match, but why it was 6 points for the chinese? 2 for roll+2 for technique. Maybe double roll?

of course I was :d but missed the early action, since I was looking at Mat A (another amazing match between CHN and UKR)

the moment I turned my head the Chinese was completing his last turn. so no idea how he scored the first 4 pts

After the highs of women wrestling it's to the lows of men's wrestling. Can we qualify a single male wrestler or not

If we do not qualify a single male wrestler it will be a complete national disaster..... We have had male wrestlers in every Olympic since the 40s i guess.... ( I think we had a break in 76 ) .... :mumble:

That was really hard to watch :( it sucks that we are this weak in one of the Olympic weights and they tried different guys and each one was worse than the previous one. I would send a different wrestler than Sarlak but the outcome was most probably the same, failure.

this is only the 2nd time in history that we fail to qualify a full freestyle team. and the first time (back in 1996) was only because someone failed the weight-in.

Now it’s time to root for :ALB Valiev in his semifinal :cheer:

Chamizo has no chance anyway. He will have to win three fights tomorrow and probably the decisive one against the Turkish men in Istanbul... No way. Chamizo looks very weak here. Unfortunately. For the first time in probably 100 years, Italy will not send anyone wrestling to the Olympic Games. This can be blamed on many other things but we are just weak. Conyedo is completely out of shape and we can't ride one Chamizo for more of 10 years. We could at least bring someone from Russia, such as Greece or Slovakia.

I think that for the first time since Paris 1924, Italy will not have anyone in wrestling. What disaster

Other countries make foreign imports from Russia and the Caucasus, but we do nothing. If we can't train anyone, I'll at least do this. All our wrestling for 10-15 years is one Chamizo and the Conyedo tournament of a lifetime in Tokyo. We don't exist in classics, we don't exist among women. It had to end this way, unfortunately. Moreover, in a situation where half of Europe brings people from Russia to start in their squads.
