There’s other events where they can achieve a timed place, but that seems like the most likely bet.

That was the federation's decision to do that though. Again, plenty of other countries chose to double up some of their athletes.

same for us, no quotas in 3x3 basketball and no men's 4x400 relay. It wasn't and DAY

It *should* be. You'd obviously make them the strong favourites for that spot. But it would be risky to chance it by not taking a team to ensure it.

the problem is that our best runner Thomas Jordier is out of Europe and maybe even the Olympics; hard to do without him

Yeah, I think the Mixed Relay teams are unpredictable but I doubt there are three unqualified sub-3:00 teams out there.

Adeleke and Mawdsley both looked great. Mawdsley keeping on pace with Bol is impressive.
