Doesn't seem to have kicked on for Adam.

Bit of a worrying trend developing for him this season - he no heighted at the indoor trials earlier this year as well.

Amber Anning clocks 22.66 for 200m at SEC Championships. Think that could be a new outdoor PB (she ran 22.60 indoors earlier this year)

At the same competition, decathlete Jack Turner set PBs in both the 100m (10.57) and 400m (47.35). Added to a long jump of 7.39m, shot of 13.11m and high jump of 1.98m, he leads the competition at the halfway point with 4267 points and is on course for a new PB if he can match his season's best performance in the remaining events. He'd need to motor some if he wants to get to the OQS or the UKA standard though.

Lawrence Okoye goes out to 64.95m in 4th round of Doha Diamond League - well shy of the OQS, but 5cm longer than the UKA standard for an accepted WA invite.

Interesting 800m. Good run from Jemma but felt she left some time on the track when she had to run so wide on the final bend. She was never catching Moraa today but I like that she ran with intent at the start. I think she'll run a pb this year but she'll struggle to get in the top 3 in Paris. European silver definitely a possibility.

Molly running super strongly.  5m is possible this summer.

Molly is a huge talent and a genuine medal threat in Paris.

But 5m has only been done 12 times in history and 8 of those were Isinbayeva. She's not quite at that level yet.

Anything over 4.90 is very likely to get her on the podium in Paris.

Anything over 4.90 is pretty much evens to win her gold.

    • I imagine the roads being cobbled (and perhaps wet?) probably adds to the danger here.  Also, the roads seem quite narrow and not much room on the side of the road if you need to veer off course (vs. when they were in Australia and there was a little more space on the side).
    • It seems to be.  Back when I started watching live cycling about 25 years ago, you only ever saw the final 50km of races, even for big events like the Tour de France.  So nothing much happened until the TV came on.  Now, with races being covered all day, riders think they have to go for it every single moment, so it is a lot more dangerous.
