Jasper Stuyven to the hospital and Girmay might also very well miss the rest of the classics.

Wout Van Aert broke his collar bone and sustained multiple fractured ribs in the fall today knocking him out of the Tour of Flanders, Paris-Roubaix and Amstel Gold Race.

Such a bummer. Obviously no fan will be happy to see someone get injured anyway, but it really devalues the next few big races.

 

Of course in 10 years nobody will be talking about who wasn't there, as always, but during the races people will.

Belgian TV's motorbike commentator said he just passed the place of the crash and said it looked very bad.

The spectator who was hit on the Hotond is badly injured, but not in a life threatening condition.
