He is not the same one from the Jr Pan American Games, he is a different weightlifter. He (Yeison - 1999) was Junior World Champion in 2017 and and held two junior world records.

he's exactly the same man with that exact record: yes, he was Jr. World Champion in 2017 and then he went also to the Jr. Pan-Am Champs where he was caught cheating (and if he was doing that for a second tier event, I just can't imagine how he did win the world title ), disappeared for 3+ years and came back bigger and stronger than ever...as if it was possible only by training with fair methods

It is a mistake by the IWF. Yeison Lopéz Cuello (Jr Pan American Games) was born on April 17, 2001, and formally competed in the Jr. Pan American Games and the 2023 Pan American Games. 

 

They are different weightlifters, Yeison (1999) competes in the 89 kg and Yeison (2001) competes in the 102 kg. Both competed in #Santiago2023.

but he is still the same guy who got caught for doping in 2018, right ? per IWF database he was supposed to be banned from 2018 to 2022. so you are saying both 2021 results (in his profile) do NOT belong to him but the other guy. right ?

the man who competed at the Jr. Pan-Am Champs in 2017 might be a IWF mistake, but the man we're talking about (Yeison Lopez Lopez, born on January 9th 1999) is the convicted cheater

Yeison López was suspended for the use of boldenone. I am a journalist and I can confirm that boldenone is a public health problem in Colombia and other South American countries (ECUADOR, Venezuela). A large percentage of the meat is contaminated with this substance and not only Yeison has been involved. Robert Farah (Wimbledom Champion), Fabian Puerta (World Champion) and Yenny Álvarez (World Champion).

There is nothing left to say, Yeison will demonstrate his potential and level in #Paris2024, surely on the 89 kg podium, sharing a place with Bulgarians or Chinese (Countries with cases of systematic and proven doping) 😉
