Two extremely deserving choices. Mikaël Kingsburyis my favourite currently active Canadian athlete so I'm extremely happy for him in particular.

Well thats disappointing from a personal POV. No canadian flagbearer in Milan...

I imagine they'll both be at the main ceremony... they moved things around and men's moguls doesn't start until Thursday and ski cross is way into week two. I'd think they'll just arrive and stay in Milan, or hop the train for that day

Officially confirmed that Olivia Bouffard Nesbitt receives a reallocated quota in cross country skiing!

Also, this says Skye Clarke qualified in freestyle skiing? She even reposted it on her story. Which is odd, because it doesn’t seem like Gaskell, Urness, Oldham, or Asselin are injured. Can anyone get clarification?

If anyone it’ll be Asselin, who has been quiet on her IG stories.

The TeamCanada Instagram post indicates that it's Asselin who is recovering from an injury.

F*ck damn it just when I thought the injuries were over :(

Especially unfortunate given the in form she’s in

I thought she said she just had a bruised heal. Will she be travelling with them in case it heals by then or is it over ?

Anyone else volunteering for the Olympics in Milan. We just got an offer for 20 euros for opening ceremonies ticket from the volunteer committee and we’re wondering if anyone knew if the seats were good or not? Just says section E and there is no E on the venue map

I'm not an expert in winter sports but I've seen the gold medal odds of some of the sports and thought it might interest everyone here.

There is extremely high turnout, and no pollster, politician, or newspaper had predicted it; now they’re all there throwing out data. No one has any idea why people voted, also because it was very technical and almost empty polling stations were expected. It will be interesting to understand whether this is a protest vote against the government or a protest vote against the judiciary.
