She had three refusals over cross-country in Strzegom, what resulted in elimination from that competition. That was her last chance to get selected. Swiss selectors apparently wanted to see a cross-country round with no refusals.

Oh crap...can someone miss out on the Olympics in a more sad way apart from injuries? :(

This is the case of internal Swiss rules and they weren't fulfilled by enough riders in the country, that's why they resign, do I get it right?

Australia has finalised their jumping team.

James Paterson-Robinson (Amarillo)

Matt Williams (Valinski)

They join the previously selected Scott Keach and Edwina Tops-Alexander.

Australia has also published the selection ranking for their dressage team. According to selection policy, the top 4 will be selected. Actually, top 5 athletes as 61-year old Mary Hanna can't compete on two horses. Actually, Mary Hanna (1954) should be the oldest female athlete in Rio. Anyway, she was the oldest back in 2012 so you'd think she'll repeat that. :p

Italian Federation say that Italy have a new quota in Eventing. Any official news from FEI?

FEI didn't publish anything.

No idea how Italy got that quota... Unless Switzerland went completely crazy and refused all of their quotas as Italy was only the 3rd reserve (behind Poland and Belarus)...
