I had the most memorable and important day of my life last friday, where me and my now wife could celebrate our wedding. We had a small ceremony and then we had an enjoying weekend together.

I lost my mother last week Tuesday. It is literally the most devastating thing to happen to me and tbh I am still in shock/sad.

Trying to attend the Olympics is the most confusing process. I always feel 50 steps behind.

@Griff88 Are woman allowed in the Indonesian military? I’m rewatching the Asian Games Opening Ceremony and noticed a few, but I feel like I’ve never seen any pictured before.

Yes, they are... The first time women are allowed was in 1959

Btw, most average Indonesian attention to women military personnel is a bit "wrong". Mostly some random beautiful personnel became viral or people keep focusing on the controversy when hijab was allowed as part of uniform for those who wish to wear it :dunno:

I’m curious, Does anyone else check the reddit Olympics thread every once in a while? There are some knowledgeable fans, and some not so knowledgeable fans, on there too. The discussions can be interesting as well. This forum is still way better formatted than that one though...and probably has a tighter community. Plus, we seem to know a little more than most.

Sometimes I do, because it's much easier there not to miss anything that's posted (since every thread has a title named after the actual news they're discussing), but I don't go there that often.

      Wow, Norway really wants nq after couple of horrible selections in recent years.    For some reason all love Serbia's song, but to me it's borderline (we've seen all the hype from Luke Black, and his final result).    Finland made the only right decision,    Italy - WTF? Like this song is fucking outdated. I don't mind when it's nostalgic, but this is just horrible song for Eurovision. How could you not send Ditonellapiaga who by far destroyed everyone with the staging?    Bulgaria - messy as hell, I expected more from Dara since I knew her beforehand. There are some catchy parts, but they did not sound cogesive at all.    Germany - great job, although public vote didn't like neither those songs neither Germany.

      Watching replay of yesterday Krynica start and boy what a clusterfuck it was. One it was the most uneven course of the season so far and two there were multiple instances of one of the gates not opening. So they had to redo a couple of races.
