heywoodu 13,663 Posted December 14, 2019 Author #5101 Share Posted December 14, 2019 How is a 2-minute video of some kid 'singing' in a shop a 'meme'? I mean, what do people do with it, apart from watching it? It's not like you post that in response to someone or something. If you'd like to help our fellow Totallympics member Bruna Moura get to the 2026 Winter Olympics, after her car crash on the way to the 2022 Olympics, every tiny bit of help would be greatly appreciated! It was huge here in the US, but you’re right, I would have classified that as trendy or viral, and not as meme. The line can be blurred sometimes. The dubstep remix of that 2 minute clip that was also popular is more meme. This not really a definite criteria as to what is a meme and what isn’t. The rules constantly change, and many “memers” would just say you don’t understand. “Sport has the power to change the world. It has the power to inspire. I'm sure the 15 year older people didn't understand what we were doing in school and the same goes for the current 15-year olds not understanding what the 15-year olds in 2035 are doing If you'd like to help our fellow Totallympics member Bruna Moura get to the 2026 Winter Olympics, after her car crash on the way to the 2022 Olympics, every tiny bit of help would be greatly appreciated! While the general understanding of memes may have a generational gap, making memes and being a part of the culture doesn’t. “Sport has the power to change the world. It has the power to inspire.
