It is that childrens should be in home within those hours and learn online instead spending time with classmates somewhere eg. in shopping centers or parks becuase it "cause more possible outbreaks of virus among children"

Ah, right, I hadn't thought about children of course still being obligated to 'go to school', even when 'going to school' is online now :d

If you'd like to help our fellow Totallympics member Bruna Moura get to the 2026 Winter Olympics, after her car crash on the way to the 2022 Olympics, every tiny bit of help would be greatly appreciated! Full story and how to help can be found here!

today was the big breakout day in Italy...

we went from the usual 10/11k new cases/day of the past couple of weeks to an unbelievable 19k new cases...:yikes:

a full lockdown is still out of order according to our PM, but I don't think he's to be trusted that much...

with such numbers, we're going to be very soon in a strict lockdown, even worse than last March/April, unless they want to see thousends of deceased people a day...:hairpull:

That's sad, and things looks good in summer...

Meanwhile in France is record of +42k cases and 298 deaths in just one day :(

How is the situation in China right now ? It looks like there are more news about that, but I guess the situation there is much better than in Europe right now :p

Basically the pandemic is considered over in China and almost everything's back to normal although some little scattered cluster cases found for several times. And vaccine begin for publicly emergency use targeting potential oversea students and workers although phase 3 trial is not fully finished yet. I hope the vaccine would finish development soon and make us all back to norm.

The numbers are decreasing further day by day in terms of active cases and new cases daily as compared to September 18. AP went from 1.04 to just 55k active cases while kerala is one of the worst position states now witg peak expected in December or January. Even my state is now seeing cases break record every day after testing went up from 50-60k to 90k+ every day in last few days. Delhi went through the 2nd peak too, with 3rd peak coming in December. 30k - 9.9k - 32k - 24k... That order of active cases in delhi since june.

Schools and colleges are reopening for students soon so it can increase further across country

Lakshwadeep has still 0 cases of coronavirus. Mizoram still has 0 deaths of covid 19 after 1500+ cases

Thank you very much for your reply. All the best.

:POL president Andrzej Duda is tested positive of Covid-19.

This means that for example Iga Świątek and her father are send to quarantine as she yesterday (from president hands) received one of the most important state decorations for her contribution to the country (winning Grand Slam)

    • Out of curiosity, I listened to a few podcasts about Turkmenistan today. This country has very large deposits of natural gas. In the 1990s, a simple a ordinary people lived quite well there. In the early 21st century, Turkmenistan signed several unfavorable gas deals with China and has practically gone bankrupt since then. 1/3 of the population (about 2 million out of 6 million- mostly young people) emigrated, mainly to Turkey, India, etc. The future of this country is blacka and uncertain. I don't know what other options they have? Russia, Turkey, the EU? Of course, in terms of selling gas. Perhaps sanctions of Russia's and isolation due to the war in Ukraine would be a chance for Turkmenistan to establish economic relations with the EU, but the new president would probably have to loosen and a little liberate up his country's domestic politics.
