Next few rumours: Tour de France in August, Vuelta a España in September, Giro d'Italia in October.

Yeah, don't see that happening :p

Obviously UCI's text is rather optimistic since for example France has no end to a lockdown yet, but only an extension like most countries, but alright.

---

-The period of suspension of competitions on the UCI International Road Calendar was extended by one month, until 1st July, and until 1st August for UCI WorldTour events.

-The Tour de France is postponed and will take place this year from 29 August to 20 September. Holding this event in the best conditions possible is judged essential given its central place in cycling’s economy and its exposure, in particular for the teams that benefit on this occasion from unparalleled visibility.

-The 2020 UCI Road World Championships in Aigle-Martigny (Switzerland) are maintained at the scheduled dates, 20-27 September. The competition programme does not change.

-The Giro d’Italia will take place after the UCI Worlds and will be followed by the Vuelta Ciclista a España.

-The National Championships, organised by the National Federations, will take place on the weekend of 22-23 August.

-The UEC European Road Championships are maintained.

-The most prestigious one-day road races (the Monuments), ie Milano-Sanremo (Italy), the Tour des Flandres (Belgium), Paris-Roubaix (France), Liège-Bastogne-Liège (Belgium) and Il Lombardia (Italy), will all take place this season, at dates still to be defined.

-As many events as possible on the UCI International Calendar, and notably the UCI WorldTour, will be rescheduled later in the season.

So world champs right after the Tour, immediately followed by the Giro and the Vuelta, meaning the Vuelta will likely end somewhere in November :d And five monuments have to be pushed in between all that as well, good luck.

So UCI's plan is to have the whole season crammed into 2 months. That seems smart :d

What could possibly go wrong? :d

We might have days with like a mountaintop finish in the Vuelta and Paris-Roubaix going on at the same time or something

Rumour that's going around:

11 October: Ronde van Vlaanderen
18 October: Paris-Roubaix
31 October: Il Lombardia
8 November: Liege-Bastogne-Liege

Milan-San Remo could be in August already. Of course all these dates of the GT's and this etc are only provisional and depending on the situation.

Meanwhile the UEC is talking about moving up the European championships....can't they just cancel that stuff? It's not prestigious in any way, just leave it out for a year (or more).

Ronde the day that I'm supposed to run a half marathon? That's just evil!

This is exactly how not to handle things this year. Expecting that there will be a date when everything will instantly turn back into normal so to allow this cramped up schedule is utterly nonsensical.

You just can't have it all this season...

    • Yeah,I said before Xmas that when the  women lose a superstar someone always comes through who responds to the best coaches & slowly gains the confidence to win the big races.  Looks like she has arrived just in time
    • Now I looked at the results and I was very happy that Italy was 2nd, but when I saw Lisa's last split on skis, I was a bit worried
    • 2nd place for Italy is great, but I'm worried about Lisa's weak run on skies in the last stage, and without a fast run there will be no individual medals in Cortina In normal form, Vittozzi shouldn't lose more than 10 seconds to the Norwegian on the last split from the shooting range to the finish line. Perhaps Lisa has had some hard training - she missed the stage in Oberhot and that's why her form in the run on skies is a bit weaker?
    • First of all in: Big Air, Slopestyle etc. are disciplines where judges decide the results 100% and this is bad. The average person, when they turn it on during the Olympics, has no idea why someone is 1st or 3rd, but when he turn on alpine snowboarding, he see who finished 1st and who 2nd.
    • got a 2 min penalty for no tag at the exchange
    • I wish our TV had such a good reason to show SB too
    • On the other hand, why bother with snowboardcross, which only has 1 or 2 World Cup appearances in a single season before OG, due to a lack of sufficient route? For me, it's also a dead sport, just like Nordic combined has been for some time now, with many World Cup races being canceled. For today, I would prefer team competitions in alpine snowboarding to snowboardcross, if only because in this first there are regular World Cup competitions every 1-2 weeks, and not 1-2 for the entire season.
    • not anymore...   now Czech TV shows mainly alpine SB because of Ledecka and now also the young rising star Maderova
    • I understand )) It is a shame that these reallocations in FIS disciplines may happen too late.   As far as I know FIL had consultations wirth the IOC and quickly removed 3 incorrect AIN`s after that. I do not know if FIS did the same but it looks like they did not. Since we see a lot of AIN statuses for people who do not meet the requirements. Thus some reallocations may come only after the AINERP review. I can say nothing on Zueva right now. She is not cleared by the IOC yet, by the way. But Belorussians (or at least rrepresenting Belarus now) behave lin different way. Russians on the other hand prefer to show loyoalty to the regime since it provide them with substential benefits and positions in local administrations and parliaments.
    • I would say it highly depends on the traditions of some disciplines in certain countries.   Our national sport TV boradcated Aerials live last season. Czech Reuplic has it in the prime-time of its national sports channel as far as I know. Yes Valenta won his gold more then 20 years ago but it does not matter.
