Single-Mixed, Mixed and the Sprint and pursuit.  Looks like a good group of races.  I look forward to seeing some of the smaller teams have relays.

Congrats to Norway for winning the Single Mixed Relay.  The order was male-female, same for the mixed relay later today.  23 teams started, 15 made it to the end.  Argentina finished in 23rd place, but I am just glad that they are there.  Mongolia actually finished in 18th place.  Progress!

Only 18 teams slated to race in the mixed-relay, and Switzerland did not start, so 17 total teams.

Of the 17 that started 14 finished.  I was pretty close as Russia and Germany went 1 and 2 with less than 3 seconds between them.  Norway was 3rd, then a massive gap to the others.

Why did it never come up that a famous actor Ryan is also secretly a biathlete representing USA?

He likes to keep a low profile.  I hear that instead of longs walks on a beach, he prefers 50k's in the woods.

And Goessling shoots well 0-1 and was 2:28 behind and finished in 47th.

Of the top 10, 4 shoot clean including Lesser who went 0-0 but finished 48.6 behind.  There is something wrong with his ski speed.  No idea what it is.  A few good notes, Gimenez from Argentina shot much better today 2-2 and did not finish last!  Also Altankhuyag of Mongolia finished 1-0.

Perhaps age is a factor. He was never the speediest German to begin with and now there is a lot of young blood who are willing to prove themselves on the World Cup challenging him.

Erdal won the sprint with one miss, still almost 20 seconds faster than Slivko who shot clean.  If the German women want another "H", Hikderbrand ended up in 7th with 1 miss.  ;)

Arber stage moves to Italy.

Meaning instead of an idiotically long travel (after two 11+ hour rides to and from Nove Mesto in the past few days) the Brazilian/Irish/Australian team only has a one and a half hour drive now, excellent :cheer:

.

    • I think I can live with the draw , not a bad group at all. just a week ago our mafia coach said his dream group is Belgium, Egypt and Haiti, he almost got that !   but it's really hard for me (and so many others) to cheer for this team, A mafia boss coach, disgusting group of players. I never had this feeling about any NT in any sport before but still the national team is the national team. you have to like it  coaches and players come and go, the team is what matters.   if the team makes it to the competition, I'm sure there will be lots of Iranians in the stadium despite the orange's ban, that will never be a problem.
    • Belgium is the luckiest in this story
