They really need to cut the tournament down to 12 teams, because this is ridiculous.

We're at that stage where 12 feels too few where nations like France or Germany could miss out, but 16 is too much as it causes nations like Malta to compete.

I guess it depends on the philosophy you have...

We really need France and Germany? I think that actually 8 teams among women's and 12 among men's could be enough. If in future the medium level will increase they can increase the places...

Hungary had to defeat Malta by 20 goals, hence the big gap.

Is it the first match at the Europeans where a team failed tó score a goal?

Nope, in the frist editions it was pretty usual

There's qualifiers to give everyone a chance to qualify, and there's a main tournament where we just don't really need teams who regularly lose matches by 10-15 goals on average, or more. Those teams should have been weeded out in the qualifiers.

It's mind blowing that Serbia couldn't get into the Top4 at the WCh and ECh before the Olympics. I know that they might not be taking these tournaments seriously, but still...

There is extremely high turnout, and no pollster, politician, or newspaper had predicted it; now they’re all there throwing out data. No one has any idea why people voted, also because it was very technical and almost empty polling stations were expected. It will be interesting to understand whether this is a protest vote against the government or a protest vote against the judiciary.
