Especially given both the US and Canadian governments are backing the move to allow the Haudenosaunee to compete. The IOC has set themselves up in a position where it could be a PR nightmare no matter what they do.
Must be the shortest silent ban in tennis history. Clostebol is the same thing Dorota Borowska got provisionally suspended for before the Olympics before it was revoked (so the massage cream for her dog).
Silesia is obviously the region and the meeting is in Chorzów
I presume that name Silesia is easier to pronounce so that's why they advert it like that.
I am curious, it's now the time when we will get less than 25 medals, so finally someone will find solution to improve the system of paralympic sport or we will try getting medals by non system organisation in our sport.
I think the IOC/LA28 stepped into a minefield by letting lacrosse in. There is going to be a lot of negative press once it is announced they won't be allowed to compete. Also setting the precedent of non-NOCs competing would open up such a can of worms in the future.
84 athletes will represent
The biggest names in the team are Natalia Partyka (6 golds, 2 silvers and 2 bronze medals!), Patryk Chojnowski (table tennis), Rafał Wilk (paracycling), Karolina Kucharczyk, Maciej Lepiato, Barbara Bieganowska-Zając (athletics), Joanna Mendak (swimming), Adrian Castro, Dariusz Pender (wheelchair fencing), Justyna Kozdryk (powerlifting) who are already multimedalists from few previous Games.
