Tournament Schedule

https://olympicbaseball.wbsc.org/en/2019/e-2019-europe-africa-baseball-olympic-qualifier/schedule-and-results

Competition Format

Single Round Robin

Tie-Breaking Criteria

The standing of the teams after the round robin shall be according to their win-loss records of all the games played.

All ties shall be settled in the order of the following list.

That is, if criterion (1) does not break the tie, then it is no longer considered the criteria capable of breaking the tie, and the next criterion (2) will be used.

This logic continues through the list, in order, until the tie is broken:

1. The team that won the game(s) between the teams tied shall be given the higher position.

2. Team's Quality Balance (TQB) and win-loss records in games between the teams tied.

3. The team that has the best Earned Runs Team's Quality Balance (ER-TQB).

4. Highest batting average in games between the teams tied.

5. A coin flip

This would be fun. :p

The Maldives cricket team at the 2014 Asian Games strongly disagrees.

The ML player (or some minor league) Pat Venditte and Gavin Cecchini will join the Italian Team

better than nothing, but we need far more effective pitching...Venditte is definitely not enough...:nopompom:

and still no Liddi or Garcia...

    • How wonderful!   I met the national rowing (and beach rowing) coach of EST/LTU/LAT on the way to ice hockey one day, who's Canadian by the way. I also flew home on the same flight as JC Schoonmaker's mom and friends, so we chatted for a bit.
    • Yea I only used transit besides this Uber / bus to the airport and back. All the venues were at the end of the line, so it allowed you to speak with other fans/volunteers etc. I even met Corrine Stoddard's mom after the first session of short track on the way back, and told her to remember our conversation if she won a medal later in the Olympics. We know how that ended up...
    • I used public transit the entire time I was in Milan.   My first day was a doozy, because I had to two flights to reach Malpensa, and then the train into town was delayed, and then I got confused a station and boarded a tram instead of the metro, proceeded to travel in the wrong direction, got off, walked back to the station, found the metro, got off a station early, walked around a kilometer to my hotel, and checked in.   My colleagues mostly took cabs upon arrival, but I deduced to take the frugal approach. That said, I was a true public transit professional by the time I left Milan.   I actually enjoyed my rides to and from venues, because I'd just chat up fans and volunteers from different countries. It helped me learn more about the city too.
