Why  wanted to host this knowing it could lost all matches

with two important wins already. It's a tough ask, but if they can pull it off against one of then they will be in pole position for a quota.

0-3 against Belgium. So much for any Olympic hopes. Hope Canada gets in on the men's side to feel less bad when they would be denied by our girls on the women's side.

Who says we’ll be denied? Yes that gap will be difficult to make up, but Canada’s women’s volleyball team is on the rise, and much more capable of upsets against stronger teams. Schedule isn’t out yet, but if we play you guys at VNL, and win, then at worst we’ll be 10 points behind. Of course, if we lose our Olympic hopes will pretty much be over. But counting out Canada is ridiculous at this stage as there’s still 12 matches at VNL (maybe more) left for each team to play, everything can change in an instant.

With the way Brazil’s been playing, Germany should win it in 3/4.

Well, if we would go through then Canada would be out. But it is risky business, Canada could just as well qualify with the sometimes randomness that the VNL is. It was hypothetically speaking. I would be gutted if both of our teams just miss the cut. I'm totally okay with just one team making it - just the media exposure at the Olympics alone is important. If they don't make it they will only show meh field hockey because we're good at it and waterpolo. Maybe football.

Well even with that loss you still have a chance to qualify through the World Rankings. Two or more of Germany, Canada, and Belgium can’t qualify through the OQT though.
