Defending champion Glen Durrant made a statement about the future:

 

If he reaches the semi-finals at Lakeside, he'll stay at the BDO for the rest of his career.

If he loses to Fitton in the 2nd round or loses the quarter-final, he'll try the PDC Q-School.

Lakeside is starting to be a really good tournament this year. Scott Waites and Glen Durrant escaped against Andy Baetens and Jim Williams in today's quarter finals, both were very exciting matches, too bad both matches were lost by the player I preferred to win :p 

 

Then tonight, one of the surprises of the tournament, German debutant Michael Unterbuchner, beat Dutchman Richard Veenstra in yet another deciding set (just like the first two quarters). Now Welshman Wayne Warren is playing absolutely brilliantly against Mark McGeeney, BDO's number one ranked player and the number two seed, I hope Wayne and his beautifully natural style keep this up and get to the semi's :cheer:
