"Quotas" for :SUI:AUT in women's U23 race.

These U23 quotas are such a fail. We could potentially see a Portuguese racer qualifying, even if she was completely off the pace.

Looking at the nations rankings, :ESP and :EST are the best nations not in the top 21, but they are ranked 23rd and 22nd respectively so it wouldn't take much to qualify normally. After that we have :POR then :RUS. We almost could have a scenario where someone that was lapped would qualify to the Olympics.

I don't get it. McConnell is leading by a margin, and yet the commentators are not surprised whatsoever.

It’s Mountain Biking, anyone can win on a given day at the top level.

Usually that's not how it goes though. There's a relatively small handful of people taking the main results.

2nd, 4th, 5th this year...it's not like she's been totally invisible so far.

Edit: 2nd in a main race, standings are a bit annoying to read but she is 5th in the World Cup

Yeah Mountain Biking’s been a little less competitive lately. I still enjoy watching a race though.

I love climbing on bike, skates, skis, etc.; but that steep switchback climb does not look fun to me, which says a lot about how steep it is.

This back half of the race has made for quite a boring event. Plus, Sagan’s not here so there will be a grand total of zero pointless wheelies

I mean, I find it cool Ferrand Prevot once again wins a world title at this supersweet track (as far as I am still feeling anything 'cool' or 'happy' after the shocking motorracing news which hit pretty hard), so that's nice, but yeah....once she overtook McConnell this turned into a major borefest.

After Rissved's World Cup win, here's another lesson to never ever give up chasing dreams when everything is working against you.

    • By the way. It looks like no AIN`s will be in biathlon by the start of the Olympics. Russians filed an appeal to CAS to get AIN statuses in biathlon. But IBU did not agree to have hearings with short procedure. So the decisons are not expected before the end of qulifying period. (FIS could do the same but its top-officials prefer to help russians be back as quick as possible).   I would like to see Dolidovich at the Games. Because she is a real refugee of the relatively high level.

    • It’s honestly baffling how bad she was in 2018. Just absolutely lost her head. Real shame too because she is so gifted. I do hope Li Jianrou sends her a Christmas card every year tho, she was absolutely gifted a gold medal by Christie in 2014.
