13th place at the end, which is better than last time. Even Top 12 was not so far and with some good portion of luck (which is usually an unknown element in Slovak sport overall) who would have known what would have happened.

 

5 Games, 3 wins (Twice against Slovenia in the Group and today´s 13th Place Game and against Israel in the 13th-16th Semifinals) and 2 Losses (to the Netherlands and Romania in the Group)

 

So at the end, not great, not bad. Possible to do more I am pretty sure about, but also possible to do worse I fear... so, ok-ish result at the end

We led 6-5 at halftime and then totally collapsed, Croatia then went up 6-13 and we scored two goals at the end 

 

It's still crazy that we have 4 World Championships medals and none at the European Championships, even though it is basically the same opponents in both.

 

It's a good thing we already qualified for the Olympics, and still have the World Championships and Olympics later this year, so hopefully we can get back on the podium very soon.
