Recommended Posts

So far it seems the quotas will go to...

:ITA or :GRE or :CRO in the upper half of the bracket

:HUN or :ESP in the lower half of the bracket

:GRE v :USA proved once again that the US is dangerous, they are the best non-European team at the moment and can upset Hungary in the QF if we have a bad day.

No big surprises in the group stage, we are almost getting the bracket that I predicted earlier.

:GRE v :CRO / :MNE

:ITA v :SRB / :JPN

:HUN v :USA / :CAN

:ESP v :FRA / :AUS

We were down by 5 at halftime against USA, needed the win to advance directly to QF and scored the winning goal with 2 seconds left

Also we are without one of our best players, Angelos Vlachopoulos, who stayed in Greece because his mother is in a very bad condition

Wow, huge upset from :MNE, the European champions are out. Worst result for :CRO since 2003 at the Worlds.

The QFs will be...

:GRE v :MNE

:ITA v :SRB

:HUN v :USA

:ESP v :FRA

Deserved win by Montenegro.

Plus, i wouldnt call it huge surprise. Just a surprise. Montenegro is a solid team, had many success not a long ago, always play good against neighbouring nations. Overall, its not huge surprise, IMO.

The boys did it!

Our 6th time in the semifinals of the World Championships. So far we have never made the final. Hopefully this is the first time we make the final.

Every time we either lost by 1 goal or via penalty shootout (except in 2017 when we lost by 2 goals), so we've been close many times before but never won

Also will be nice to secure our Olympic quota from now so next year I'll only have to stress about women's water polo and men's basketball :d
