I think you're a bit optimistic about Quadarella's time over the 800m, I'm happy if she does 8.14 this week and just beat the 8.10 barrier next year...

and I expect Seto to swim 1.52 next year at home...so, it's gonna be hard for Burdisso to even take that bronze (but I do not exclude a 1.52 high even for him, so with a bit of luck...who knows?)...

p.s. there's always a chance (a very slim one, I fear) that Urlando switches to Italy if he can't get passed the US trials next year (he already has the Italian citizenship and he has never represented the US in a senior global event, so the 3 years rule by the IOC does not apply in his case, he can do whatever he wants until he gets 18)...

Maybe Seto will focus on the IM's where he could actually win more than bronze. There are a bunch of guys besides Burdisso who could swim in that 1:52 high or 1:53 low range, for example Kenderesi and Horomura. I think bronze will be between Burdisso and Kenderesi.

Would make absolutely no sense for Urlando to switch, he can easily make the US team and the US is a much bigger market + he clearly sees himself as american. Italy is in a good spot, it was already pointless to add Condorelli to the team. Must suck for italian talents that someone like Condorelli was chosen ahead of them.

You would think that Pellegrini finally has to slow down, but she seems to be able to stay at that 1:54 level a bit longer. I don't think she can go faster than that, which might be what you'll need to medal in 2020 against Ruck, Titmus, Ledecky, McKeon, Haughey.

Still better than Poland's medal haul. The only one we got is Olivia Smoliga but it doesn't count

Maybe we will see a miracle in the 50 free ...

That's the thing with the sprints, it could go anywhere tbh. But Juraszek is even a safer bet than Kawecki these days. Let's see if he makes the final bc we haven't been this far off the elites since the 2008 OG.

Only 14 relays are entered in women's 4x200m.

At least two out of these nations will earn a rare relay qualification - :NZL
