The IOC statement says "boxing qualifying events and competitions for Paris 2024 would not be run under the authority of the IBA" but doesn't go into more details than that.

they might be run not under authority of IBA, but people (officials, judges, NFs' members, those "behind the scenes") are always the same...and they're biased/corrupted in their souls...

the only difference is that the winners will be decided by someone not being the IBA "magic circle", but still the medals won't go to the truly best fighters.

    • The number of DNFs today is going to be legendary
    • Many DNFs among the lesser skiers now. They don't have stamina for this long course.   Kiara Derks should hang on to 30th place with 7.35 secs deficit and will open the 2nd run! @heywoodu

    • Camille Rast has laid down a good marker and leads by 0.58 after seven skiers ahead of Liensberger and Shiffrin. Holdener only 4th, Ljutic with a big mistake and over 2 seconds behind. Duerr also underwhelming and Hector dead last.
    • Let's hope the Brazilian federation will also realize she is actually capable of becoming a World Cup regular (not saying a podium finisher or something, but definitely someone who is good enough to mostly do World Cups), and start supporting her eventually, she absolutely deserves that.
