:ARM is playing :FRA tonight in Northridge, California at what they are calling The Armenian Basketball Classic.

Very unimportant game but just something interesting I stumbled upon on YouTube.

There’s a pretty large and active Armenian diaspora in LA, so that might explain the choice of venue (along with the popularity of French players in the US).

:USA women also take gold at the U16 Americas Championship and do a little bit better than the guys winning all six games by a combined 401 points.

:ARG:CAN:PUR:USA qualify for FIBA U17 Womenʻs World Cup 2024. :MEX already in as hosts.

Our girls U18 team lost 62-63 to Luxembourg at the European Championships Division B the other day. I do not know much about this competition, but surely losing to Luxembourg is not a good sign for the future...

Well we are now into the semifinals, and so are Luxembourg, so I guess it wasn't such a bad loss after all :d

So our girls won easily against Bosnia for bronze, but our girls somehow do not get promoted because Portugal is hosting next year and they were one of the teams who finished bottom 3 of Division A. Therefore, only 2 teams got promoted from Division B instead of the usual 3. What a ridiculously unfair rule! The hosts of these events should not be chosen until the field is finalized.

FIBA are an absolute JOKE!

Greece vs Yugoslavia Euro 1987 Semis in Greece Galis vs Petrovic

after years when some players of that team were asked "what was coach's system/tactics during the time-outs"?

they answered: "Nick (Galis) take the ball and go inside" ... :d
