Toronto Marathon incorporating :CAN National Champs & I suppose Olympic Quals tomorrow.  Also Amsterdam Marathon on ES - not really the fast course you’d think with lots of pavé & viciously steep bridges.

Thanks! Happy to say I finished the race. :) Not proud of my time, but my respect for these professional runners has grown even more.

Even those shoes couldn't have saved my race.

One of my favorite signs I noticed that a supporter was holding said: "Keep smiling, the East Africans have most likely already finished and you only have 25km to go. You can do this."

That was me one year ago when I picked up running in October 2022. This was a bucket list thing, but I started to really love running. Want to join me for next year's marathon? ;)

no, I love being so lazy! :roflmao:

jokes aside, I couldn't start running even if I wanted...my left knee will never allow me to try and make any effort in that sense (I have a non-operated ACL...just have to be very conservative on that)

I suffered with a knee too. I was happy to complete the couch to 5k programme by mostly running on grass

5k is my limit though. Any more and the knee swells!

Hats off to everyone who can complete a marathon!
