dominating performance by our girls :cheer:

Scutto only needed 30 secs or so to throw Ersin on the mat for Ippon, Giuffrida has reached a record 16 consecutive podium finish (5 of them being wins) in Grand Slam tournaments :yikes:

not a good day for :ITA

early losses for the girls and the -73kg guys, 7th and 5th place in the -81kg, but if Gamba's 7th is a promising result for a youngster, Esposito's 5th is a missed chance to solidify his place in the OQR (which is far from safe at the moment)

    • I still shocks, that a country of 4-5 million inhabitants? can be a powerhouse in almost every winter sport + handball, football (most recently with Haaland) and athletics: Ingebrigtsen, Warholm, etc. With such a small population, they can't be missing out on any major talent, surely? This must be the best training system in the world...
    • FIFA announced the stadium and time for each match   for  Iran, it will be 2 matches in LA (and not just 1) and 1 in Seattle and luckily we avoided playing in Canada. absolutely nothing against the country, but there are just too many douchebag Iranian groups in Vancouver trying to mix everything with their stupid politics. it's better to stay away from them.   that can happen in US too but less likely. playing in LA is more like playing at home, at least I hope so. 2022 Qatar was a disaster from our point of view, hopefully this one remains only about football.
