RobtheAggie 340 Posted May 3, 2019 Author #13 Share Posted May 3, 2019 OK, so now this source is talking about Anders Byström as the new Sweden manager. He previously was skidskyttelandslagets, I have no idea what that is, but it sounds cool.

Byström comes from the Norwegian national cross-country team, though he has worked for the Swedish national biathlon team before as a coordinator. The Swedish national biathlon team has reconstructed its organisation. They did not have a national team manager before, which Anders Byström has been appointed to. The new head coach, as you have written, is Johannes Lukas. According to Secretary General, Ingemar Arwidson - "The National Team Manager is a new role that we now establish. The idea is that Anders will be responsible for a leading and coordinating role for the A-, Development and Youth teams in order to maximize our resources. He will also be responsible for the national team selection and long-term planning. Anders is a really good leader and I am happy to bring him to the team". The logistic part will be Byström's responsibility now, so Nilsson can focus on coaching. Nilsson will replace Lukas as coach for the A-team, as Lukas has been promoted to head coach for the A-team. heywoodu

RobtheAggie 340 Posted May 8, 2019 Author #18 Share Posted May 8, 2019 Interesting news here: Anton Shipulin has announced that he was offered illegal stimulants. According to him, he turned it down. Ekaterina Ivanovna Glazyrina supposedly owes the IBU money from events that she won money in, but was DQ for them. She has not returned the money yet. heywoodu 15,135 Posted May 9, 2019 #19 Share Posted May 9, 2019 Meanwhile it's starting to look less and less likely Brazil will have any sort of significant presence next (European) season. The focus will most likely be mostly or entirely on cross-country skiing. RobtheAggie and ahjfcshfghb 2 .
RobtheAggie 340 Posted May 9, 2019 Author #20 Share Posted May 9, 2019 That is too bad. To they really have a better shot with cross country over biathlon?
