This was one really nice sprint, a true mano a mano. Groenewegen vs Ewan and Peter with another extraordinary 3rd place in a full top sprinters finish.

Plus it seems everyone except for Groenewegen and Ewan completely mistimed the sprint and seemed to have forgotten it was slightly uphill.

In really Viviani apparently had fill tire in the last few meters... I saw that the was like pulled off by the bike ;) I had thought of a gear shift error

Possible this time, but still he usually depends on a train more than any other sprinter :p Without Morkov and Richeze he'd probably have 50% less wins :d

      There will be specialized double sculls...just not for an NOC if it is entering singles specialists.   Either enter 2 singles specialists, or 1 XD specialist pair.   But they can in theory compete in both events, I guess, if they qualify...our top M, I think, does both.   But there are 17M, 17W, and 30 Pairs allotted in the quota, so I don't think the intent is that every singles entry will be in doubles.   (Perhaps this gets to fall in line with Weightlifting, where due to max entry quota, an NOC can't enter in every event, even if they have the best athletes...here, unless you have a pair who qualifies in both.)
