For swimming, I went from around 10 replies in Tokyo to 115 this year so that explains part of the increase.

Also I wouldn't be surprised if @Josh was entirely responsible for the big increases in both volleyball and the 3x3 basketball threads (and possibly some other threads). He wasn't on the forum 3 years ago.

I may be responsible for some of the decrease because I can get carried away during live events, but obviously I wasn’t around much this time.

Artistic gymnastics 12 posts only. Rhythmic gymnastics 34.

:yikes:

Important factor is CLUBS, i believe that many members prefered writing there instead.

But most important is that we surpassed Tokyo by total number of posts.

I’m kind of bored, so over the next few days I’ll be sharing some statistics for most posts by a user in all the various sports threads

Edit: Deleted the second one, it’s not going to work for me.

If you'd like to help our fellow Totallympics member Bruna Moura get to the 2026 Winter Olympics, after her car crash on the way to the 2022 Olympics, every tiny bit of help would be greatly appreciated! Full story and how to help can be found here!

Are there numbers about those? I often forget they exist and people might be active there, but it'd be a shame if that took away activity in the regular sports threads...

But the Artistic Swimming 2024 world championships threads had a record of 245 replies :d Because it was an Olympic qualification event. It looks like everyone wants their country to qualify a quota there, but do not care at all about the competition itself

Maybe also because there wasn't that much else going on at that time for those not too interested in winter sports? I mean, I assume during the Olympics most people are going to choose something else than artistic swimming to watch (not saying that as a judgement of the sport, I just find it hard to imagine it's that popular), plus the aforementioned 'second week tiredness' may not have helped it :p
