is there any livestream for Group B/C competitions ? I know we have copyright issues for Group A. but IWF usually provides free livestream for lower groups. can't see that on their website this time

I assume it's impossible to watch it anywhere? Even not live is good of course...

:USA:CAN:GBR:IRL:NED:BEL:DEN:NOR:SWE:FIN:AUS:NZL Live and Ondemand (all groups but only A groups with commentary in English -the same of the Olympic Channel by Seb Ostrowicz and Max Aita) here (paid streaming, 15.99 US $):

https://www.weightliftinghouse.com/events/

meanwhile, rest of :EUU Live and Ondemand for free on the Olympic Channel (A groups only)

I fear that only the people living in the Countries that have access to the paid service mentioned in my previous post can watch the secondary groups :mumble:

by the way, the women's -49kg Group B just finished.

:MEX Y. Hernandez Vieyra is currently the best of the pack with 82kg (snatch) + 102kg (C&J), for a total of 184kg

Is there a website where we can follow live results, at least?

yes, on the official IWF website there's a link to the Live Scoreboard and to the Final Results (now it looks that they're updating them in real time once a weight class is over).

p.s. check the Olympic Channel website, Brazil might be one of those Nations where the free live streaming is available :mumble:

you rarely see two Chinese weightlifters in a women's World Championship both fail to win a total medal :hyper: and also someone else won the gold medal for Colombia. the clear favorite Kuo wasn't even in her best shape. it will be even harder to win the gold when she is ready (and Diaz of PHI will probably join the party in this weight too)

I think one thing is clear. 59kg is one of two weights that China has to ignore for the 2024 Olympics. (unless something super crazy happens in future)

    • The women's weights are okay given the distribution of competitors. The men's weights are definitely underweight. Adding 2-3kg in each event would make it more balanced.
