In other news, it appears that Pele's condition has worsened.  It will be sad any time, but if he passes away during the World Cup it will be extremely sad.

In semi-related news: Pelé is no longer responding to his chemotherapy, and is now getting palliative care, according to one of the bigger newspapers in Brazil. Sounds like he might not see the end of this World Cup..
