Somehow this sounded sarcastic, so just to be sure I googled her name....damn :yikes:

That is one talented lady :d

Can not believe there someone in this world who did not hear about her this week :d

Yep, we already discussed a lot about her in the WU18 worlds thread. She is considered as one of the biggest talent of this sport in history.

Last year when she was 13. The coaches tried her in our seniors Women Extraliga in 6 matches.  She scored there 25 goals and added 15 assists. In 6 adult league matches :p

This year she is part of the Boys U16 league, she played for different reason only 10 matches so far there but is till the score leader of the championship with 15 goals and 16 Assists in 10 matches of a 2 years older Boys league

She is now 14 years old and was called last week for the first time to the Women´s Under 18 World champs :d She ended being the MVP of the tournament scoring 9 goals and adding 3 Assists against Almost 4 years older opponents. :p

First female at IIHF level to score a so-called "Lacrosse" Michigan goal ever, became the second most searched name in the Ice Hockey world web last week.

And if it was not enough, basically every her goal at the U18 worlds was a jewel. Enjoy, it started with some goals but the last 3 were all some reel-highlights many men could not do in their entire careers.

Yes she is 14 years old :d

Yep, we already discussed a lot about her in the WU18 worlds thread.

That explains why I had never heard of her, since I barely follow the NHL or the big world championships, let alone the junior ones :d But to be fair, how likely would you be reading a thread about the U18 cyclo-cross championships? :p

I'll be watching that video tonight :d

Team :SVK headed to EYOF earlier this morning.

All 76 Athletes (38 boys and 38 girls) are healthy and excited about the games. Good luck, have fun and enjoy the games kids :yes

No special goal from our NOC. Any medal would be obviously huge and precious, however EYOF are not about medals but learning and getting this first international Olympic-style multi-sport experiences.

Flag-bearers at the Opening Ceremony were named Vanesa Šelmeková (Figure Skater) and Boys Ice Hockey team captain Fabian Andrej Ličko.

Girls Hockey team before the departure (the daughter of god :p is almost right in the middle with that visible blue T-shirt under her jacket)

The Boys hockey team headed in their own bus as well :p

    • It may also be that Ceccerelli saw that the conditions in the Italian youth teams were very poor and that is why she insisted on setting up her own team. A private team will always be better than a team with 10-12 skiers, each with 4 coaches, a doctor and a physiotherapist. Colturi is the only skier in her team and she has several coaches, a masseur, a doctor etc. Of course, it costs money, but since the parents are famous and have money + Red Bull got involved. I don't understand why she can't start for Italy again? Red Bull should care more that Colturi starts in Cortina under the Italian flag than the Albanian one + Red Bull, as a brand, always has a bigger sales market in Italy with a population of 60 million than in small Albania. I hope that this can still be reversed by next year. For this we need talks between the federation + Colturi's parents + Red Bull + possibly the Italian Olympic Committee. Colturi may be a skier equal to Brignone or even better. We can't lose her, so we have to do now!
    • I`m very disappointed with this weekend. Only becouse of Ghiotto form I`m happy. Unfortunately, the women's team will not function well if Lollobrigida skips most of the training camps and Fontana starts alternately in short tack and long track. It will end with her not winning any medals here or there, because it`s already clear that it will be very difficult to achieve good results in long track. I hope that she understands this, because in short track she has a real chance of winning medals in the women's relay and the mixed relay but in long track not.
    • Tragic performance of the Italian women's team - last place and probably something bad happened at the start. There are so few starts in the team that it will be a problem to even qualify for the World Championships - 8 best teams. After Lollobrigida's return and Fontana's addition, I was counting on much more, but it seems that there are too few joint trainings. With individual quality, we have no right to lose to the Czechs without Sablikova, or anonymous Korea. And unfortunately this start will count for a lot, because there are only 2 more and our chances of playing at the World Championships are minimal. In my opinion with Fontana going from Short Track to Long Trackand vice versa, we won't be much use in the team. Here great teamwork is needed, not improvisation. As of today, there is very little chance that we will qualify the women's team for the games.
    • men advanced to Division A for the first time since 2018 (when they went 1-8). Don't expect much progress next year
    • Ok, but there we are talking about a person who has parents from different countries. Colturi has nothing to do with Albania.
    • There are few people here from Austria, Switzerland, Norway and Finland.
    • The worst editions in XXI century for us were Vancouver: 5 medals (only 1 gold for Razzoli's on the penultimate day) and Sochi: 8 medals (but no gold). Turin was already a prelude to this bad period, although the number of gold medals was ok. Overall we won fewer medals at home than in 2002 and this was probably the only case in the 21st century when the host country won fewer medals at home than 4 years earlier, either in summer or winter. In general the years 2008-2016 were very bad in our sport, both in summer and winter. Only 2018 in Korea was a slight rebuild + 2 fantastic summer editions in Tokyo and Paris. in Beijing 2022 we won a lot of medals - 17 but only 2 gold (If it weren't for Gogga's injury, I think it would have been 4 gold).
    • Totallympics had  users at one point, but I haven't seen any hanging around in a while.
    • In terms of total medals, yes. In terms of golds, I’d be fine with anywhere from 6-8.   @intoronto you don’t think we’ll do better or at least the same? Bit surprising.
    • Tadeucci was very good and took bronze
