Didn't read any firm notes about that in the mash of worthless words, that is this Coventry speech.. But we all knew she was a terrible choice already when she was elected, so wouldn't be surprised of the eventual ruining of Olympic core values for greed and power. -
It depends on exactly how they do it. If it frees up space for additional sports in general, or bigger fields in sports with a ridiculously low amount of quotas, I'd be ok with it. -

Wondering if she'll do DH (and perhaps SG), but then have someone else compete on the Team. -
It does cost money to send and accommodate athletes at the village, the NOC is expected to pay for their stay and so on, so I am ok with some sort of extra criteria. It's just that requiring top-8's or something is too much.

All very recently built soccer specific stadiums. Good choices honestly, those are all premier MLS stadiums in places that won’t melt players cleats off with humidity in August. All in the 30k capacity range. Providence Park in Portland would be fun but it’s on the opposite side of the age spectrum to these, same for SLC and Colorado’s stadiums. Disappointing that Boston’s new stadium will still be 4+ years from opening in 2028. We could have actually ended up hosting something Olympic related. -

I agree. As these are optional sports brought in by the host nation then they have already agreed to bear the additional cost of hosting. Also one of the biggest draw to include baseball or cricket is that unique nations may qualify in a team sport. With the way cricket is set up we could have a six team tournament of for both genders. Besides India that tournament is basically full of the usual suspects. -

Wrestling The process has changed. The World Championships will now qualify 4 athletes in each event. The newly introduced World Rankings will qualify 3 athletes. Afterwards we have the continental qualifiers where two athletes from each tournament (Africa-Oceania, Asia, Europe, Pan America) will qualify. The final quota will be decided at the World Qualifiers where only NOCs which have not qualified may enter with up to two total athletes.
